Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan win streak in World Championships still continue. They haven’t lost a match in World Championships ever. Their first World Championship started in 2013 in Guangzhou, China. They won in straight sets against Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen 21-13, 23-21 that year. In 2015, they won also in home soil Jakarta, Indonesia against Liu Xialong/Qiu Zihan also in straight sets 21-17, 21-14.

Their partnership started in Fall 2012, so they only manage to participate a few World Championships along the years. They didn’t participate in 2014 because Ahsan was injured. In 2017 and 2018 they also didn’t participate because in 2017 they split in Fall 2016, and they only got back in January 2018 in India Open. The World Championship 2018 qualification period ended in april and they didn’t manage to qualified because only a few tournaments that they played since that India Open and this year they manage to keep that streak going to eyeing their third World Championships title.

Their waiting for the other Quarter-Final to determine who will they play. It’s possible that it will going to be an all Indonesian Semi-Final if Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto manage to overcome Choi Sol Gyu/Seo Seung Jae.
